Norwood, Mass. – March 3, 2003 – Open Channel Solutions (OCS), the leader in software licensing management solutions, today announced the launch of Poetic 7.0, the newest version of its web-based software license management and delivery system.
Open Channel Solutions’ Poetic system was first launched in September of 2000 and is currently in use by industry leading software vendors, their channel partners and end users. Now Software Vendors have the option of self-hosting Poetic as the system has been enhanced with tools for systems configuration and monitoring. Release 7.0 also contains important enhancements for channel partner support, license management, full localization and seamless integration with Software Publisher portal sites.
“Release 7.0, addresses the desire of some Publishers to self-host the application. While we still see demand for hosted solutions, we now have an answer for those companies that do not want an ASP-only option. Additionally, Poetic has been completely localized allowing Publishers to maintain every field on the user interface and data structure to support worldwide languages including Japanese and Chinese,” said Ed Rose, President and Chief Executive Officer of OCS. “This new functionality is all about flexibility. The system is now available hosted or deployed, every word on the system can be customized to accommodate a Publishers specific vocabulary or international languages and we’ve built enhanced tools to support the Publisher’s channel.”
