Norwood, Mass. – August 1, 2004 – Open Channel Solutions (OCS), the leader in software licensing management solutions, today announced that its CEO, Ed Rose, was a featured speaker at License Online 2nd anniversary ceremony in Japan sponsored by License Online, Ltd (LOL), a leading online reseller. Along with speakers from Microsoft and Symantec, Rose discussed the future of software licensing and its impact on the channel, publishers and end-customers.
The ceremony, which took place on July 22, 2004 in Tokyo, Japan, attracted hundreds of industry players in the distribution and reseller channels, software vendors such as Microsoft and Symantec, corporate technology and financial sector executives, as well as LOL customers and members of its parent company, Mitsui. During the ceremony LOL unveiled its new business strategy, which entails using OCS licensing management technology as a key platform to build upon. Mr. Akira Shinozaki, Vice President at LOL, provided an overview and demo of OCS’ Poetic solution.
