OCS Group acquires Meadowcroft to boost Channel Islands Total Facilities Management service

OCS Group has acquired Guernsey-based Meadowcroft Limited, a third generation family-owned building services provider, in a deal it says will boost its offer of Total Facilities Management (TFM) to Channel Islands businesses and property owners. OCS says that the expanded business will be able to offer clients in Guernsey and Jersey a comprehensive set of property services, including washroom services, cleaning, compliance, electrical engineering and mechanical services.
All forty Meadowcroft staff will transfer to the new operation, giving OCS Group over 200 staff to deliver an expanded set of property support services to clients in the Channel Islands. Meadowcroft managing director, Paul Meadowcroft, will continue to lead hard services as operations director, while Teresa Toman, joint shareholder in Meadowcroft Ltd., will take on the new role of office manager for the combined operation, which will continue to use the Meadowcroft name.
“Meadowcroft has grown fourfold in the last eight years and we have worked closely with OCS Group – another family-owned business – in serving several shared clients in the Channel Islands in recent years. The firm has made the decision to consolidate its operations with OCS Group in order to offer a one-stop solution for building support services that can be delivered from our own resources,” said Paul Meadowcroft, managing director of Meadowcroft Limited.
OCS Group is an international total facilities management (TFM) provider with operations in Guernsey and Jersey. The group operates across 5 continents and employs 91,000 people in 50 countries worldwide and was awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade for 2015.
“OCS Group has a strong track record of commitment to serving clients in the Channel Islands and a long history dating back to 1900 as a family-owned business, so we are delighted to be joining with another well-established family business that shares our values and commitment to long term client relationships that deliver value. We welcome the Meadowcroft Ltd. team into the OCS Group and look forward to working with them in serving our Channel Islands clients,” said Phil Taylor, managing director of OCS Group in the Channel Islands.
“The electrical and mechanical engineering expertise of Meadowcroft complements OCS Group’s soft services proposition of cleaning and washroom hygiene services. Together, the joint capabilities of the new operation offers an unrivalled breadth and depth of facilities services, taking on all aspects of property management and allowing our clients to focus on their own core business” he said.OCS says that the acquisition will deliver a “significantly enhanced” service proposition and that further investment is planned in order to further expand the company’s capabilities and to grow its local workforce. The transaction was subject to approval by the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities.
