We’re saying thank you to our cleaners

It's Thank Your Cleaner Day - the annual celebration of cleaning operatives around the world. It's a day when we shine a spotlight on the essential work that our frontline colleagues do every day and encourage our customers, and their customers, employees and service users, to take time to recognise their cleaning team and say thank you.
Our businesses around the world - including our teams in Australia and New Zealand, Thailand, the UK and Ireland, our UK provider of flexible workspace - will be marking the day in their own way, including recognising and rewarding our frontline colleagues who continue to play a critical role in the fight against coronavirus.
John Hunter, OCS Group CEO, has recorded a message of thanks for all our frontline colleagues, which has been translated for our international colleagues in India and Thailand and will be shared across our business. He said: "Our frontline colleagues are dedicated and committed. They carry out physically demanding tasks, often during unsociable hours, and they keep our customers’ sites clean, safe, and hygienic.
"On Thank Your Cleaner Day, I want to personally extend my sincere thanks to all cleaners and their families. Your dedication, loyalty, commitment and contribution are deeply appreciated.
"I hope we can all take some time today to show our gratitude to you for looking after our work environment and public spaces and for your contribution to society. So, to all of our cleaning colleagues, and to all my colleagues on the frontline, thank you for everything you do."
Yvonne Taylor, Global Head of Cleaning, added: "The cleaning industry, now more than ever before, has been thrown into the spotlight: our cleaning colleagues are no longer the invisible workforce – they are highly trained experts, responsible for ensuring our customers' premises are free from bacteria and viruses and are safe. They can, and should, take pride in what they do, and we, in turn, must value them and show them the respect they deserve. I'd encourage everyone to stop for a moment today to acknowledge the cleaning operatives you see as you go about your business and say thank you to them for keeping you safe."
