Health and safety is not simply a box-ticking exercise for us at OCS, it is an integral part of our business operation, and one which ensures the safety of our own teams, and that of our customers.
For more information on our Health and Safety commitments, targets and future plans, read our 2022 OCS ANZ Sustainability Report.

Protecting our teams
The safety of our people is our number one priority, if our team members are protected then they’re able to do the best possible job for all our customers. This involves providing task-specific PPE and adequate supplies of sanitisers and other appropriate products to all our team members and to our customers based on individual needs, especially now in the COVID-19 spotlight.

Providing the right tools
Our Vault risk management system, PowerBI reporting and our toolbox talks, mean we have robust systems in place that have been well tested. We are able to respond quickly to changes in standards as challenging situations, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, come up.

Creating trust
OCS NZ is ISO45001 - 2018, ISO 9001 - 2015 and ISO 14001 – 2015 certified. Our team members participate in active monitoring across all regions and all our executive board members carry out regular safety visits. We keep an open dialogue about safety issues through our worker engagement visits, health and safety committee meetings and toolbox talks for frontline team members. Our communication network uses a variety of channels to ensure we reach as many team members as possible and our Safety Champion award recognises team members who demonstrate safety excellence and innovation.
