Covent Garden Market Authority (CGMA) is the team that manages New Covent Garden Market. A statutory body, set up by Acts of Parliament in 1961, CGMA owns and is responsible for the operation of the Market and is accountable to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).

In addition to leasing warehouse and office premises, CGMA supplies all the necessary facility services to the Market community including cleaning and waste disposal, energy supply, site security, traffic control and the maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment.

As well as providing the physical infrastructure for its tenants, CGMA is dedicated to supporting and promoting the businesses on site. This includes marketing and promotion, business support and development as well as environmental, community and health initiatives.
