For the second year in a row, our aviation security training has been recognised as 'outstanding' by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Once again, we achieved an overall score of outstanding in our recent quality assurance assessment and we were also assessed as outstanding in every individual category by the external quality assurer.
The CAA aims to raise standards in the industry by creating a baseline for aviation security training providers to achieve. The assessment demonstrates that our training team is fully competent, that all aspects of our training quality assurance is effective and that our colleagues continuing professional development meets the highest standards. Anyone trained by our team can in turn be confident that they have been trained to the highest professional standards.
Lisa Wallace, Head of Training and Standards, Aviation & Gateways, explains: "This is our second assessment since the CAA launched their Quality Assurance Framework in April 2019 and we cannot understate the achievement of being recognised as 'outstanding' in both. Since last year, the CAA has made the criteria more challenging by rightly raising the standard expected of training providers, and we have once again excelled in their assessment. This is a wonderful achievement by the team and something we can all be really proud of.
"Due to our success this year, our next CAA audit will now be in 24 months, and we look forward to the challenge and pushing our standards even higher."
