OCS Young Sportsperson Awards
At OCS we are passionate about nurturing talent, not just within our business, but also across our wider society - and we have a commitment to investing in the communities in which we work. The Young Sportsperson programme is just one way that we support talent, and we are proud to be able to help these outstanding young athletes fulfil their potential.
OCS YSP Awards has made bursaries in excess of £500,000 to over 200 young athletes , including 27 of whom have gone on to win Olympic, Paralympic and World Championship medals for Team GB since the awards began in 1998.
14 of our Young Sportsperson winners went on to represent Great Britain at the London 2012 Olympics, including Louis Smith MBE and gymnast Beth Tweddle MBE. At the Rio Olympics in 2016, 13 of our Young Sportsperson winners represented Great Britain, some of them becoming multi-medallists, bringing home 8 medals in total.
The OCS YSP Awards are run in partnership with SportsAid, the charity responsible for funding emerging sports talent in the UK and helping the next generation of British Athletes succeed.
